Moving your crypto from CoinSpot to Coinstash is straightforward, but it needs careful attention to the blockchain network so your funds arrive safely. This guide covers both sides: getting your Coinstash deposit address, then sending from CoinSpot.
Before you start
Account tier: Your Coinstash account must be at least Tier 1 verified, otherwise it can't accept your incoming deposit. See What are Account Verification Tiers?
Your phone and email: CoinSpot will send you an SMS code and usually an email confirmation link.
Same name on both accounts: Under the Travel Rule, we can only accept deposits sent from accounts in your own name.
Part 1 – Get your Coinstash wallet address
Before you go to CoinSpot, generate your unique deposit ("receive") address on Coinstash.
Open deposits: Click or tap the Deposit button on your dashboard.
Select crypto: Choose Crypto and press Next.
Search your asset: Find the cryptocurrency you want to receive (for example BTC, ETH or USDT). If you see "No coins found" or "Request Deposit Address", a manual process may be needed. See Troubleshooting "No Coins Found" and Requesting a Crypto Deposit Address.
Choose the network: This is the most critical step. Select the blockchain network you want to use, and remember it.
Copy the address: Scan the QR code or click the Copy icon. If a memo or tag is shown, copy that too.
Part 2 – Withdraw from CoinSpot
Now head to your CoinSpot account to send the funds to Coinstash.
Go to Wallets: Click Wallets in the top menu and open the wallet for the asset you're moving.
Start the send: Click Send in the left-hand sidebar.
Select the network: Make sure the network you select on CoinSpot matches exactly the one you chose on Coinstash.
Enter the amount and address: Paste your Coinstash wallet address into the recipient field (and the memo/tag, if there is one). Always copy and paste; never type it out.
Recipient details (if asked): If CoinSpot asks who you're sending to, enter Coinstash as the receiving platform and your full legal name exactly as it appears on your Coinstash account. This helps the transfer verify automatically.
Security check: Click Send SMS Code, enter the 6-digit code, then click Send.
Confirm by email: CoinSpot usually requires one final confirmation via an email link. Open your inbox and click the link to authorise the withdrawal.
Part 3 – After you send
Confirmation times: Your crypto isn't instant — it must be confirmed by the blockchain network. You can track progress with the Transaction Hash (TXID) in your CoinSpot withdrawal history. See How to find your TXID.
Confirm the source: When it arrives, Coinstash may ask where it came from. Choose An exchange or platform and search for CoinSpot. See Understanding the Travel Rule.
🛡️ Critical security reminders
Matching networks: If you send an ERC-20 token (Ethereum network) to a BEP-20 address (BNB Smart Chain), your funds will likely be permanently lost. Both "Send" and "Receive" must be on the same blockchain.
Case sensitivity: Wallet addresses are case-sensitive. A single wrong character means the funds go to a different address.
Memo/tag: If Coinstash shows one, include it, or your deposit may not be credited.
Troubleshooting
CoinSpot shows the withdrawal as complete, but it's not in Coinstash. Check the Coinstash app for any prompt to confirm the source, then contact us with the TXID.
My deposit is on hold. See How to manually verify a crypto deposit with screenshots.
I didn't get the confirmation email from CoinSpot. Check your spam folder, or contact CoinSpot — the withdrawal won't be sent until it's authorised.
