This guide walks you through sending cryptocurrency from your Independent Reserve account to Coinstash: first getting your Coinstash deposit address, then completing the withdrawal on Independent Reserve.
Before you start
Account tier: Your Coinstash account must be at least Tier 1 to receive crypto. See What are Account Verification Tiers?
Your 2FA code: Independent Reserve will ask for it to confirm the withdrawal.
Same name on both accounts: Under the Travel Rule, we can only accept deposits sent from accounts in your own name.
Part 1 – Find your Coinstash wallet address
On Coinstash, click the Deposit button.
Click Crypto, then press Next.
Search for and select the cryptocurrency you want to deposit.
Select the blockchain network. Remember it — you'll need to choose the same one on Independent Reserve.
Scan the QR code or copy the wallet address provided (and the memo/tag, if one is shown).
If you see "No coins found...", see Troubleshooting "No Coins Found".
If you're prompted to Request Deposit Address, see Requesting a Crypto Deposit Address (Low-Cap Coins).
If the deposit address doesn't display, contact our support team before sending anything.
Part 2 – Send from Independent Reserve
Click Accounts in the menu header.
Search for and select the asset you want to withdraw.
Click the Withdraw button.
If more than one blockchain is available for the asset, select the network. Make sure it's the same network you selected on Coinstash.
Enter the amount you want to send to Coinstash, or click Max.
Paste your Coinstash wallet address (and memo/tag, if there is one). Don't type it out.
If you're asked for recipient details, enter Coinstash as the receiving platform and your full legal name exactly as it appears on your Coinstash account.
Click Review withdrawal.
Enter your 2FA code.
Agree to the terms and click Withdraw to finalise your withdrawal.
Wait for the blockchain network to confirm the transfer. Once it's confirmed, the crypto will be reflected in your Coinstash account.
After you send
Track it: Use the TXID from your Independent Reserve withdrawal history. See How to find your TXID.
Confirm the source: Coinstash may ask where the deposit came from. Choose An exchange or platform and search for Independent Reserve. If it isn't listed, see What if my exchange or platform isn't listed?
⚠️ Important things to remember
Use the same blockchain network on both platforms. Using an incorrect wallet address or the wrong blockchain could result in the loss of your cryptocurrency.
Avoid typing your wallet address. Copy and paste the entire address. Wallet addresses are case-sensitive.
Include the memo/tag if Coinstash shows one.
Coinstash is not responsible for cryptocurrency losses resulting from an incorrect wallet address or selecting the wrong blockchain. Unfortunately, we can't control the transfer within the network.
Troubleshooting
The transfer is confirmed but isn't in my Coinstash balance. Check the Coinstash app for any prompt to confirm the source, then contact us with the TXID.
My deposit is on hold. See How to manually verify a crypto deposit with screenshots.
