This guide walks you through sending cryptocurrency from your Binance account to your Coinstash account, from getting your Coinstash deposit address to confirming the transfer on Binance. The example uses Bitcoin, but the steps are the same for other coins.
Before you start
Account tier: Your Coinstash account must be at least Tier 1 to receive crypto deposits. See What are Account Verification Tiers?
Your Coinstash deposit address: Get it fresh from your Coinstash account (see Part 1 below). Don't use an old saved address.
Same name on both accounts: Under the Travel Rule, we can only accept deposits sent from accounts in your own name.
Part 1 – Get your Coinstash deposit address
On Coinstash, click or tap Deposit, choose Crypto and press Next.
Search for and select the coin you want to receive.
Select the blockchain network you'll send on. Remember it — you'll need to pick the same one on Binance.
Copy the wallet address (and the memo/tag, if one is shown).
Can't find the coin? See Troubleshooting "No Coins Found". Full details are in How to Deposit Cryptocurrency.
Part 2 – Withdraw from Binance
Step 1 – Log in to Binance
Open Binance at https://www.binance.com and log in.
Step 2 – Open Withdraw
Go to the Withdraw section, which you'll find under the Overview tab.
Step 3 – Select the coin
In the Withdraw crypto section, choose the cryptocurrency you want to send (for example, Bitcoin) from the list.
Step 4 – Paste your Coinstash address
In the Send to field, paste the Coinstash deposit address you copied in Part 1. Check the first and last few characters match before you continue.
Step 5 – Select the network
Choose the blockchain network. It must be the same network you selected on Coinstash. Different networks have different transaction fees and arrival times, which affect the overall cost and speed of the transfer. If Coinstash showed a memo or tag, enter it in the memo/tag field on Binance.
Step 6 – Enter the amount
In the Amount field, enter how much crypto you want to send. Review it carefully before continuing.
Step 7 – Recipient details (if asked)
If Binance asks for details about the recipient, enter Coinstash as the receiving platform and your full legal name exactly as it appears on your Coinstash account. This helps the transfer verify automatically under Australia's Travel Rule.
Step 8 – Confirm the withdrawal
Confirm the transaction. You'll likely be asked for your password or security code to finalise it. Check every detail first — crypto transfers are irreversible once completed.
Step 9 – Wait for confirmation
The transfer now needs to be confirmed on the blockchain. Binance will send you a notification confirming the transfer.
Step 10 – Check your Coinstash balance
Once the transaction is confirmed, log in to Coinstash. Your crypto should now be visible in your balance. You may be asked to confirm where the deposit came from — choose An exchange or platform and select Binance. See Understanding the Travel Rule.
⚠️ Important
Match the network on both platforms. Sending on the wrong network can mean permanent loss of your crypto.
Include the memo/tag if Coinstash shows one (common for XRP and XLM), or your deposit may not be credited.
Always copy and paste the address. Wallet addresses are case-sensitive.
Troubleshooting
Binance says it's complete but it's not in Coinstash. Copy the TXID from your Binance withdrawal history (see How to find your TXID), check the Coinstash app for any prompt to confirm the source, then contact us with the TXID if needed.
My deposit is on hold. We may need screenshots from Binance. See How to manually verify a crypto deposit with screenshots.
I picked the wrong network. Contact our support team straight away with the TXID.
Moving from another exchange? See Swyftx to Coinstash, CoinSpot to Coinstash or Independent Reserve to Coinstash.
