How to Create a Coinstash Account (Mobile App)
This guide walks through the updated Coinstash app onboarding flow for May 2026.
The screens may look slightly different depending on your device, but the steps are the same.
Step 1: Choose the type of account you want to open
After starting the sign-up process, you’ll be asked which account type you’d like to open.
You can choose from:
Individual — a personal account to invest.
Company — invest under a registered entity.
SMSF — invest with a self-managed super fund.
Trust — invest on behalf of a trust.
Select the account type that applies to you, then tap Continue.
Step 2: Enter your name
Next, enter the name you’d like to go by. Coinstash uses this to personalise emails and account communications.
If you have a referral code, tap Enter code and enter it before continuing.
Once your name has been entered, tap Continue.
Note: Before publishing, use a generic example name or blur the name field in this screenshot.
Step 3: Create your password
Create a secure password for your Coinstash account.
Your password must include:
A minimum of 8 characters
Lowercase and uppercase letters
At least 1 number
At least 1 symbol
When all requirements are met, tap Continue.
Step 4: Verify your account
To unlock full access and help keep your funds secure, you’ll need to complete account verification.
The app will guide you through the process. Verification usually takes around 5 minutes to complete.
Tap Verify account and follow the prompts.
What you may need for verification
To complete verification, you will be asked to provide identity documentation. This can include:
Your legal name
Your date of birth
Your residential address
A valid identity document
A selfie
Make sure the information you enter matches your identity document.
After verification
Once your account is verified, you’ll be able to access the full Coinstash app experience, including depositing funds and trading supported cryptocurrencies.
If verification is unsuccessful or you need help, contact Coinstash Support through the app.
