Upgrading to Tier 2 lets you send crypto from Coinstash to an external wallet or exchange. This guide shows you how to request the upgrade in the Coinstash mobile app and what happens afterwards.
Before you start
Your account must be at Tier 1 before you can request an upgrade to Tier 2. Tier 1 means you've verified your photo ID, email address and mobile number.
Your phone's camera: Tier 2 needs a Face Match check — a selfie that's matched against the ID you verified at Tier 1.
Good lighting: find a well-lit spot and avoid strong glare so the camera can see your face clearly.

What Tier 2 unlocks
Crypto withdrawals up to $20,000/day (crypto withdrawals aren't available at Tier 1).
AUD deposits and withdrawals stay at $20,000/day, and crypto deposits remain unlimited.
How to upgrade your account to Tier 2
Tap your profile image in the top right-hand corner.
Tap My Account.
Tap the Edit button.
Tap the Verify button in the Unlock Tier 2 panel.
Complete the Facematch check by following the on-screen prompts.
What happens next
Once the Facematch check is complete, our onboarding team will review the results and, if successful, upgrade your account to Tier 2.
For brand new accounts, the Tier 2 upgrade may take up to 7 days to be approved.

Troubleshooting
I can't see the Unlock Tier 2 panel. Your account needs to be at Tier 1 first. If you haven't finished identity verification yet, complete that first — see How to Create a Coinstash Account (Mobile App).
My Facematch check didn't work. Try again somewhere well lit, holding your phone steady at eye level. If it still fails, contact our support team.
I've done the check but I'm still on Tier 1. Our onboarding team reviews every Tier 2 request. For brand new accounts this can take up to 7 days. If it's been longer, get in touch.
