Depositing AUD into Your Coinstash Company Account

How to deposit AUD from a company bank account into a verified Coinstash company account, the compliance rules, timeframes and how mistaken deposits are resolved.

If you're funding Coinstash from a company bank account, the money must go into a matching, verified Coinstash company account, not a personal one. This guide explains what to set up first, how to make the deposit, and what to do if a deposit goes to the wrong account.

Before you start

  • A Coinstash company account: Deposits from a company bank account can only go into a corresponding Coinstash company account. If you don't have one yet, set it up first. See How to Open Your Coinstash Company Account, or contact our support team for guidance.

  • A linked, verified company bank account: Make sure your company bank account is linked and verified on your Coinstash company account before you deposit.

  • Account tier: Your account must be at least Tier 1 verified to deposit AUD. See What are Account Verification Tiers?

Name matching: The bank account you send funds from must exactly match the name on your Coinstash account. For a company, that means the company bank account must match your Coinstash company account. If you deposit before your company profile is created and verified on Coinstash, the funds will be refunded to the originating account.

How to deposit from a company account

Step 1 – Start your deposit

Make sure you're using your Coinstash company account. Tap or click the Deposit button on your home screen or dashboard, select AUD (or Cash), then press Next.

Step 2 – Choose your method

  • PayID: Click the PayID box to see your unique PayID email address. This is the fastest method for most users and typically results in an instant transfer.

  • Bank transfer (Osko): You'll be shown a unique BSB and account number. These details belong to your Coinstash account, so simply copy them into your banking app to send funds.

Step 3 – Complete the transfer

Open your company's online banking and send the amount you'd like to deposit using the details shown in Coinstash.

🛡️ Compliance rules

  • Name matching: The bank account you send funds from must exactly match the name on your Coinstash account. We can't accept third-party deposits (for example, from a friend, family member or business partner).

  • Third-party deposits are returned: Transfers from third-party accounts, such as those of friends, family or other entities, aren't accepted and will be returned to the originating account.

  • Company accounts: Deposits from company accounts must only go into corresponding, verified Coinstash company accounts. Failing to first create and verify a company profile on Coinstash will result in the funds being refunded to the originating account.

  • Joint accounts: We do accept deposits from joint accounts, provided your name is one of the legal owners. In some cases, our team may ask for a bank statement to verify this.

  • No direct debits: Coinstash will never "pull" funds from your bank account. You're always in control of "pushing" the funds from your bank to us.

🕒 When will my funds arrive?

  • Instant (Osko/PayID): Most deposits are processed via the New Payments Platform (NPP) and arrive within minutes, 24/7.

  • Standard bank transfer: Depending on your bank's internal processing, it may take 1–2 business days.

  • First-time hold: Some Australian banks place a 24-hour security hold on your very first deposit to a crypto exchange. This is a bank-side safety measure and is outside Coinstash's control.

  • Bank verification: Additional delays can come from your bank's own verification processes, which can take 1–2 business days. These checks are part of the bank's standard protocols to keep transactions secure.

💡 Pro tip: check your limits

To deposit AUD, your account must be at least Tier 1 verified. New accounts start with a $20,000 daily limit. If you're planning a larger move, upgrade to Tier 3 to raise your daily limit to $100,000. See Upgrading to Tier 3: Increasing Your Limits and What are Account Verification Tiers? If you're operating from a company account, make sure it's verified and linked to your Coinstash company account so your deposits go through smoothly.

Resolving mistaken deposits

If you mistakenly deposited funds from a company bank account into a personal Coinstash account (or the other way around), contact our support team. We can help with one of two options:

  1. Refund the deposit: The funds can be refunded to the original source bank account. Have the necessary details ready when you request the refund.

  2. Transfer to a company account: Create a Coinstash company account (if you don't have one yet) and, once it's properly set up, ask us to transfer the deposit into it.

Please note that any deposit that doesn't comply with the name-matching rules or account requirements will automatically be refunded to the originating account.

Troubleshooting

I'm getting an "invalid BSB" error, or my PayID transfer is blocked. This can happen with certain banks. Check that the BSB, account number or PayID you entered exactly matches the details shown in your Coinstash account. If the problem continues, consider using a different banking provider. See Depositing AUD into Your Coinstash Account for BSB formatting tips.

I deposited before my company account was set up. The funds will be refunded to the originating account. Contact us if you'd like help with the options above.
