You can withdraw Australian dollars (AUD) from Coinstash to an Australian bank account held in your own name. This guide walks you through each step, explains the bank account check for new accounts, and covers when your money should arrive.
Before you start
An account in your name: To comply with Australian regulations, we only process withdrawals to bank accounts held in the same name as your Coinstash account.
A verified bank account: If you haven't withdrawn before, you'll need to add your bank account and upload a recent bank statement. Our team verifies it before you can withdraw. Step-by-step guides: Desktop Website, Mobile Website and Mobile App.
Your VPN switched off: VPNs aren't allowed during the withdrawal process (more on this below).
Your daily limit: How much AUD you can withdraw each day depends on your verification tier. For example, Tier 1 allows up to $20,000 per day. See What are Account Verification Tiers?
Step-by-step: withdrawing AUD
Step 1 – Start your withdrawal
Click the Withdraw button on your dashboard, select AUD, then press Next.
Step 2 – Select or add a bank account
Existing account: Choose a saved account that shows a blue tick. The blue tick means it's verified and ready to use.
New account: Enter your BSB, Account Number and Account Name, then click Save account. Then continue to Step 3.
Step 3 – Verify your account (new accounts only)
Upload a recent bank statement for the account. Our onboarding team will review it, and the account shows as Pending while it's in review. Verification typically takes 1–2 business days. Once the account shows a blue tick, you can continue to Step 4.
Step 4 – Enter the amount
With your verified (blue tick) account selected, enter the AUD amount you'd like to withdraw and click Next.
Step 5 – Review and confirm
Check the bank account and amount carefully, then click Confirm Withdrawal.
When will my funds arrive?
Instant: Many withdrawals are processed via Osko/PayID and arrive within minutes.
Standard: Depending on your bank, it may take 1–2 business days for the funds to clear into your account.
Coinstash starts processing your withdrawal promptly, but how quickly the funds land depends heavily on your bank's internal processing. For the most accurate timing, check with your bank directly.
Refund processing timelines
If we refund a deposit to you (for example, a deposit that couldn't be accepted), refund processing begins immediately on Coinstash's end once the refund is initiated. The exact time for the refunded funds to appear in your account depends on your bank's processing times, internal processes and policies.
🛡️ Security & compliance rules
No third-party withdrawals: We can't send funds to a bank account belonging to a friend, family member or business if it doesn't match your Coinstash profile name. This protects you and helps us meet our obligations under Australian law.
VPN policy: For your security, VPNs aren't allowed during the withdrawal process. If a VPN is detected, the Confirm button will be disabled (greyed out). Turn off your VPN to continue.
Daily limits: Your daily AUD withdrawal limit is set by your verification tier (for example, Tier 1 allows up to $20,000 per day).
PayID is for deposits only. You can't withdraw to a PayID. Withdrawals go to your verified BSB and account number.
Troubleshooting
The Confirm button is greyed out. This usually means a VPN has been detected. Turn off your VPN, refresh, and try again.
My new bank account still says Pending. Verification typically takes 1–2 business days. If it's been longer, contact us and we'll check on it.
I can't withdraw the amount I want. You may have reached your daily limit. Limits reset at 10:00am Brisbane time (AEST) each day, or you can upgrade your tier for higher limits. See What are Account Verification Tiers?
My withdrawal hasn't arrived. Allow 1–2 business days, as some banks take longer to clear incoming funds, especially over weekends and public holidays. If it still hasn't arrived, contact your bank first, then get in touch with us.
