When you withdraw Bitcoin (BTC) from your Coinstash account, the transaction is typically processed by our system within a few minutes. However, it is important to understand that processing by Coinstash is only the first step.
Blockchain Confirmation Times
After Coinstash processes and broadcasts your BTC withdrawal, the transaction must be confirmed by the Bitcoin network. This is a standard part of how blockchain technology works and is outside of Coinstash's control.
Typical confirmation time: 10 to 15 minutes
During periods of high network congestion, confirmation times may extend beyond this range. You can check the current state of the Bitcoin network using a blockchain explorer such as mempool.space.
What Happens During This Time?
Coinstash processes your withdrawal — We verify your request, check security protocols, and broadcast the transaction to the Bitcoin network.
Transaction enters the mempool — Your transaction waits in the queue to be picked up by miners.
Miners confirm the transaction — Once included in a block, your transaction receives its first confirmation.
Additional confirmations — Most wallets and exchanges require 3 to 6 confirmations before recognising the deposit as complete.
Is This Normal?
Yes. A 10 to 15 minute wait for blockchain confirmation is completely normal for Bitcoin. Unlike some other cryptocurrencies with faster block times, Bitcoin's average block time is approximately 10 minutes.
This means:
Your withdrawal has not been delayed by Coinstash
Your funds are not lost
The transaction is in progress on the blockchain
How to Track Your Withdrawal
You can monitor the status of your BTC withdrawal using the transaction hash (TXID) provided by Coinstash. Simply copy the TXID and paste it into any Bitcoin blockchain explorer, such as:
When to Contact Support
Please contact Coinstash Support if:
Your withdrawal shows as processed in Coinstash but has zero confirmations after 1 hour
The TXID cannot be found on any blockchain explorer
You entered an incorrect withdrawal address
For all other cases, waiting for the standard 10 to 15 minute confirmation window is the expected experience.
