Short answer
If your withdrawal is showing as pending, it means Coinstash is completing the required Travel Rule checks before sending your crypto on-chain. This is a legal requirement under Australia's updated AML/CTF laws that took effect on 1 July 2026.
What is happening
From 1 July 2026, all Australian-regulated crypto exchanges must verify details about who is sending and receiving crypto before processing withdrawals. Your funds are held safely while these checks take place.
How long does it take?
Most withdrawals process quickly once the required information is confirmed. Delays usually happen when:
Required details have not been provided yet
Information provided does not match or is incomplete
Further manual review is needed for compliance reasons
What you should do
Check your email and app notifications for any requests for information
Make sure you completed all steps in the withdrawal declaration
If everything looks correct and it has been more than a few hours, contact our support team
Can I cancel a pending withdrawal?
If your withdrawal is still pending and you need to cancel it, please contact support as soon as possible. Once the crypto has been sent on-chain, it cannot be reversed.
