How do I Downgrade My Account Tier to Lower My Daily Limits?

How to ask our team to downgrade your Coinstash verification tier to lower your daily limits, and why you might want to.

You can ask us to move your account to a lower verification tier at any time. A lower tier means lower daily limits, which some customers prefer for extra peace of mind. This article explains why you might downgrade and how to request it.

Why downgrade your tier?

  • You don't need high limits right now. For example, if you don't intend to deposit large amounts of AUD in the near future and simply wish to hold your portfolio on the platform, a lower tier may be more suitable.

  • Extra security. Reducing your daily limits serves as an added layer of security to help safeguard your assets.

  • Block crypto withdrawals. Crypto withdrawals are not available on a Tier 1 account, so this restriction can offer further protection against unauthorised access.

To see the limits at each tier before you choose, see What are Account Verification Tiers?

FAQ

Which tier should I choose? It depends on how you use Coinstash. If you only hold crypto and occasionally deposit AUD, Tier 1 keeps AUD deposits and withdrawals at $20,000/day and switches off crypto withdrawals. If you still need to send crypto out occasionally, Tier 2 allows crypto withdrawals up to $20,000/day.

Does downgrading affect the crypto I already hold? Your tier sets your daily deposit and withdrawal limits. If you're unsure how a change will affect what you want to do, ask our team in the same chat before they make the change.
