How do I Add a New Bank Account for Withdrawing AUD? (Desktop Website)

How to add and verify a new bank account on the Coinstash desktop website so you can withdraw AUD, including the bank statement check and timeframes.

Before you can withdraw Australian dollars (AUD), you need to add a bank account and have it verified by our team. This guide shows you how to do that on the Coinstash desktop website.

Using a different device? See the guide for the Mobile Website or the Mobile App.

Before you start

  • The account must be in your name: You can only add a bank account held in the same name as your Coinstash account. Third-party withdrawals (to a friend, family member or business) are not allowed.

  • Your bank details: Have your BSB, account number and account name ready.

  • A recent bank statement: You'll need to upload a recent statement for the account so our team can confirm it belongs to you. Make sure it clearly shows your name and the account details you're adding.

Step 5 – Upload a bank statement

Step 6 – Wait for verification

Our team will review your bank account. Pending appears next to the account while your details are being checked.

What happens next

  • Review: Our team checks your bank statement against the details you entered. While this happens, Pending appears next to the bank account.

  • Timeframe: We aim to verify all new bank account requests within two business days.

  • Ready to withdraw: Once verified, the account shows a blue tick and you can select it when you withdraw. See Withdrawing AUD to Your Bank Account.

⚠️ Important

  • Why we check: Verifying that the account is in your name protects your funds. It means AUD can only be sent to a bank account that belongs to you.

  • Check your details carefully. Double-check the BSB and account number before you save them, as a typo means the statement won't match and the account can't be verified.

Troubleshooting

My bank account has been "Pending" for more than two business days. Contact our support team and we'll check on it for you.

Can I add an account in someone else's name, or my business's name? No. Withdrawals can only go to an account held in the same name as your Coinstash account. If you trade for a company, you'll need a Coinstash company account. See How to Open Your Coinstash Company Account.

I can't find the option to add a bank account. Make sure you've started an AUD withdrawal first, as the option to add an account appears on the withdrawal screen. If you still can't see it, contact us.
