What Is the Adviser Portal and How Does It Work?

An introduction to the Coinstash Adviser Portal for accountants and SMSF professionals: what you can see, the reports available, who it's for and how connecting with clients works.

The Adviser Portal is a dedicated dashboard built for accountants and SMSF professionals to view and support clients who invest in cryptocurrency with a Coinstash account. This article explains what the portal does, who it's for, and how connecting with a client works.

With crypto investments becoming more common (and more complex in structures such as SMSFs), the Adviser Portal gives you real-time visibility, EOFY reporting tools and audit-ready documentation to help your clients stay compliant and reduce stress at tax time.

View-only, real-time client visibility

  • Secure, read-only access to a client's Coinstash portfolio

  • See transactions, asset holdings and activity summaries

  • Supports multiple clients under one Adviser login

You can't place trades, move funds or make withdrawals on a client's account. See View-Only Access Explained.

EOFY and audit-ready reports

  • Get 30 June audited holding reports

  • Access your client's transaction history and cash reports

  • Compatible with tools like BGL, Syla, Crypto Tax Calculator and Koinly

Education and CPD

  • Access CPD-approved webinars and resources

  • Learn how to spot compliance issues early (e.g. personal use, staking, derivatives)

  • Stay up to date with SMSF and crypto regulatory guidance

Who is it for?

The Adviser Portal is designed for:

  • Accountants with SMSF clients investing in crypto

  • SMSF administrators seeking better audit workflows

  • Crypto-savvy professionals looking to guide clients

  • Firms that want to streamline EOFY for multiple SMSF clients

How does it work?

  1. Register as an adviser for free. Sign up via the Adviser Portal registration page. See How to Register for the Adviser Portal.

  2. Your client invites you. Access to a client's account is by invitation only. Your client sends the invitation from their own Coinstash account. You can invite a new client to join Coinstash, but you'll only see their account once they invite you. See How to Connect to a Client.

  3. Get view-only access. The adviser gains access to the client's portfolio — view-only, with no trading or withdrawal permission.

  4. Put the data to work. Export reports, check activity and provide proactive guidance.

  5. Grow with us. Invite other clients, use our education resources and participate in our partner program.

🎁 Bonus: up to $200 client referral gift

When an accountant invites a new client to join Coinstash, the client receives up to $200 in bonuses. Eligibility and terms apply — contact us for current details.
