CryptoTaxCalculator has integrated Coinstash onto their platform, so you can automate your crypto tax calculations by uploading your Coinstash transaction history in two easy steps. This guide walks you through it.
Before you start
Your Coinstash CSV file: Export your transaction history from the Coinstash desktop website first. See How do I Export My Transaction History as a CSV File?
A CryptoTaxCalculator account: Sign up here if you don't have one.
Step 1 – Find Coinstash
Log in to CryptoTaxCalculator and click the Import Data tab. Search for Coinstash.
Step 2 – Import your file
Click Import and upload your Coinstash CSV file.
Tips
Upload your full history. Capital gains depend on when and at what price you first bought, so include all your Coinstash activity, not just the latest financial year.
Moved crypto in or out of Coinstash? Import your other wallets and exchanges too, so transfers between them aren't mistaken for buys or sells.
API option: Coinstash also has an API integration with CryptoTaxCalculator. See What are the different EOFY reports available?
⚠️ CryptoTaxCalculator is a third-party service. Coinstash can't give tax advice or check your results — please speak to a registered tax agent about your tax return.
Troubleshooting
I can't find the export option in the app. CSV export is only available on the desktop website.
Some transactions look unmatched. This often means some activity happened on another wallet or exchange. Add that source, or contact CryptoTaxCalculator support for help with their platform.
