How Do I Make a Manual Crypto Deposit (Mobile Website)

Some cryptocurrencies on Coinstash require a manual deposit process, which differs slightly from our standard deposits. This guide will walk you through the manual deposit process step by step.

You won’t know if a deposit is manual or automatic until you select the coin for deposit. If the process involves 3 steps and asks for a transaction hash, you are on a manual deposit flow.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Start Your Deposit

  • Log in to your Coinstash account and tap Deposit

  • Tap 'Crypto'

  • Choose the cryptocurrency you want to deposit (e.g. APT)
  • If the deposit is manual, you'll be prompted to complete a 3-step process

2. Enter Deposit Details (Step 1 of 3)

You'll need to provide the following:

  • Network: Select the correct blockchain network (e.g., Aptos)
  • Amount: Enter the exact amount you will send. ⚠️ This must match the amount sent on-chain
  • From Address (Optional): Helps us identify your deposit, especially if you are using a custodial wallet

3. Wallet Address Allocation (Step 2 of 3)

Once your details are confirmed, a unique deposit address and memo/tag (if required) will be provided:

  • This address is valid for 1 hour only
  • You must send the exact amount entered in Step 1 to this address
  • After sending, do not forget to save your transaction hash
⚠️ If you exit or cancel at this step, the wallet address will expire immediately

4. Submit Transaction Hash (Step 3 of 3)

After sending your crypto:

  • Paste the transaction hash (TX Hash) from your wallet or exchange into the field provided
  • Hit Submit
⏱️ This step ensures we can match your on-chain transaction to your account

💡 Tip: Not sure how to find your Transaction Hash (TX Hash)? We’ve put together a step-by-step guide for exchanges and wallets like MetaMask, Ledger, and Trust Wallet. 👉 Read the guide here

5. Deposit Confirmation

  • Once submitted, your deposit will show as Pending in your Transaction History while it is being finalised and approved by our team. This usually takes up to 1 hour during operational hours (9am–11pm AEST).
  • You’ll see the transaction status update once it has been confirmed.
