What are Coinstash Memberships?
Coinstash Memberships is a membership program that rewards customers based on their trading and holding activity.
Your membership level determines the trade fees you pay and the rewards you can receive, such as trade fee discounts or STASH (our platform loyalty points) Back Rewards.
Every verified Coinstash user is automatically enrolled into the Membership program. Your membership level is reviewed monthly and may move up or down depending on your prior month’s trading volume and holdings.
How Memberships Work
Automatic activation:
Memberships become active when you complete registration and sign up. You can complete KYC to claim a “Trial Gold” membership.
Monthly review:
Your membership level is reviewed at the start of each calendar month based on your activity during the previous month.
Progress through trading activity:
You can move up to a higher membership level in the next calendar month by increasing your trading volume during the prior month.
Maintain with average balance (Gold and above):
Members at Gold level or higher can also maintain their level by holding an average qualifying balance, even if your trading volume decreases.
Flexible rewards:
You can choose how you wish to receive your rewards:
- Fee Discounts (default): Lower trading fees on every trade.
- STASH Back Rewards: Receive STASH Points instead of trade fee discounts. STASH can be redeemed for exclusive Coinstash merchandise, entries to various promotions available from time to time (including lucky draws, wheel spins, and mystery boxes) or certain selected crypto. *Trading volume refers to the total AUD value of your buy and sell trades during the calendar month.
**Average balance refers to the daily average AUD value of your fiat and digital asset holdings on the platform during the calendar month.
Membership Rules
Review timing
Memberships are reviewed at the start of each calendar month using data from the previous month.
For example, your activity in January 2026 determines your membership level for February 2026.
Effective period
Your new membership level applies from its assignment date until the end of that calendar month.
Maintaining a level (Gold+)
Members at Gold or higher can retain their current level by holding an average qualifying balance across the month.
Base trading fee
The standard trading fee for all members is 0.6%, before any fee discounts or Stash Back rewards are applied.
Reward selection
You can switch between Fee Discounts and Stash Back rewards anytime from your account dashboard.
Examples
Example 1 — Trading-based adjustment
If you trade $60,000 during January, your membership level for February will be Gold (which entitles you to a 0.4% trade fee or 50% Stash Back).
Example 2 — Maintaining a level
If you were Platinum in January but only traded $10,000 in February, you can stay Platinum if your average daily balance on the platform is above $500,000.
Example 3 — Mid-month expiry
If your membership expires on 10 March, your February activities determine your membership level for the remainder of March.
