How to create a sub-account

Sub-accounts let you create additional accounts linked to your primary Coinstash account. Use sub-accounts to organise your crypto holdings, manage separate allocations for different goals, or structure your portfolio in a way that works for your needs.



How to Create a Sub-Account

  1. Verify your primary account that you signed up with.
  2. Open the Coinstash app and go to your profile.
  3. Tap the Switch Account button.
  4. Click on “Create another account”.
  5. Select the sub-account type you would like to create.
  6. Enter a display name (e.g - HomeSaver)
  7. Enter a unique email for the account (you can use email alias’ such as: [email protected])
  8. Set a unique password for your sub-account
  9. Click “Create Account” to setup your sub-account
  10. After creating your account, please reach out to our support team to automatically verify your sub-account via our live chat, or by emailing [email protected]
  11. After your sub-account has been verified by our support team it is ready for use.

You can create multiple sub-accounts if you need more than one.



Switching Between Accounts

All your accounts - primary and sub-accounts - are available from the account switcher in your profile menu. Tap your profile, select the account you want, and you're in.

Who owns the assets in a sub-account?

You do. As the primary account holder, you are the sole customer and legal owner of your primary account and all sub-accounts. You retain full ownership, all contractual rights, legal rights, beneficial interest, and control of all assets. You are fully responsible for all activity across all accounts.

Can I create multiple sub-accounts?

Yes. You can create as many sub-accounts as you need to plan and label your portfolio allocations.

Can I rename my sub-accounts?

Yes. You can set a nickname for each sub-account to easily identify it - for example, "Long-term holds", "School savings", or "Trading".

Can I withdraw from a sub-account?

Yes. You can deposit, trade, and withdraw from any sub-account independently.

Can I login directly to my sub-account?

Yes. You have separate credentials for each sub-account and you can login directly using the sub-account’s login credentials.

Is this a trust or custodial arrangement?

No. Sub-accounts are administrative features under your primary account. They do not create a trust, custodial arrangement, or separate legal ownership for any other person.

What can I use sub-accounts for?

Sub-accounts are flexible. You can use them to organise your portfolio, manage separate savings goals, plan family allocations, or structure your holdings in any way that suits your needs - all under your full ownership and control.
