How is my Membership level calculated?
How is my Membership level calculated?
Your Coinstash Membership level is calculated based on your activity during the previous calendar month.
At the start of each calendar month, a review of your account is conducted automatically. The review will focus on your account’s trading volume and average balance for the past month, which will determine the membership level that applies to your account for the new month.
1. How Membership Levels Are Assigned
Membership levels are determined using two criteria:
a) Monthly Trading Volume (Progress & Retain)
I.e., your total AUD value of trades executed during the previous calendar month.
- Trading volume is the only way to move up to a higher membership level.
- All levels use trading volume for progression.
- Silver level and below also only refer to the trading volume for retaining the membership level.
b) Monthly Average Balance (Retain Only, Gold and above)
For Gold level and above, you can also retain your membership level by maintaining an average qualifying portfolio balance for the previous month.
- Monthly average balance cannot upgrade your level.
- It only helps you keep your current level if your trading volume for the previous month does not meet the required trading volume amount for that level.
2. Membership Criteria
The table below shows the trading volume required to progress and the average balance required to retain levels from Gold level and above:
Membership | Monthly Trading Volume
(Progress / Retain) | Monthly Average Balance
(Retain Only) |
|---|---|---|
Starter | $0 | N/A |
Bronze | $5,000 | N/A |
Silver | $10,000 | N/A |
Gold | $25,000 | $50,000 |
Platinum | $100,000 | $500,000 |
Diamond | $500,000 | $1,000,000 |
Black | $1,250,000 | $2,000,000 |
Nova | $2,500,000 | $5,000,000 |
3. Examples
Example 1 : Moving Up a Level
If you trade $10,000 within a calendar month, you will qualify for Silver for the following month.
Example 2 : Retaining a Level (Gold+)
If you are currently on Gold, but your monthly trading volume is only $15,000, you can remain on Gold if your account’s average balance for the month is $50,000 or higher.
Example 3 : Dropping a Level
If you are currently on Platinum, but in the previous month you did not meet:
- $100,000 trading volume, and
- $500,000 average balance,
you will move to the level you do qualify for in the following month, depending on your account’s trading volume and/or average balance for the previous month.
4. When does the Review Happen?
Memberships are reviewed at the start of each calendar month, using your data from the previous month.
- December activity → applies to January
- January activity → applies to February
- And so on
Your updated membership level is active until the next monthly review.
5. What Counts Toward Trading Volume?
Trading volume includes:
- Buy trades
- Sell trades
- Swap trades
- Bundle trades
- Auto-buy trades
6. Where Can I See My Monthly Stats?
