What is 2FA:

2FA stands for Two-Factor Authentication. It's a security process that requires users to provide two different passcodes to access an account or system. The goal is to add an extra layer of protection beyond just a password.

Example:

When logging into your Coinstash account:

First, you enter your password.
Then, you're asked to enter a code generated by an app like Google Authenticator.

This makes it much harder for attackers to gain access to your account, even if they have your password.

How to disable 2FA:

Click on your profile image in the top right hand corner.

Click on "Security".

In the 2FA section, click on the "Disable" button.

Enter the 6-digit code from the Authenticator App.

You will know that 2FA has been disabled if the option to "Disable" 2FA has changed to an "Enable" 2FA button.

If you've lost access to your Authenticator App and are unable to disable 2FA using the steps above, please contact our customer support team for further assistance.
